Who You Surround Yourself With Matters
Nurturing Your Authenticity and Empowerment
This post is inviting you to dive into the transformative power of your environment and the incredible influence it has on your journey towards authenticity and empowerment.
The people you surround yourself with and the energy you immerse yourself in play a significant role in shaping your thoughts, actions, and beliefs.
It's time to become mindful of the impact your surroundings have on your path and take charge of your empowerment!
Maybe you have noticed how the vibes of your friends, family, or colleagues affect your behavior and mood. If you sense judgment, doubt, or resistance from those around you, it's likely that these energies seep into your consciousness, influencing how you perceive yourself and your dreams.
This can come in all shapes and forms, from you feeling slightly off but not even knowing why to feeling really affected by the energies of the people around you - feeling mood swings, taking on the mood of the person you just hang out with, acting completely different than before your encounter with another person or just feeling exhausted and like needing a deep rest after being in the company of others.
Whatever it is and how light or strong you feel it - recognizing that you might have taken on the energy of someone else is an amazing insight. Now you can start adjusting - start consciously letting go of what is not yours or is not serving you, and also think about how to protect and care for yourself next time.
Luckily, there are so so many tools you can use to hold your energy and make sure you feel well and protected when with others- which doesn’t mean you won’t let in others, or a shielding yourself.
This might actually be one of the greatest insights, at least for myself: YOU CAN BE BOTH.
You can care for yourself and set boundaries WHILST being there for others.
You can hold space for a loved one WHILST not taking on their energy.
You can be yourself WHILST being around others.
But first: take a moment to ask yourself some essential questions and get to the core of your relationships:
Who are you spending the most time with?
Is your environment consciously or unconsciously supporting you on your journey towards authenticity and empowerment?
Do you feel safe to be your true, authentic self and share your dreams without fear of judgment or ridicule?
And here's a big one: What if your dreams are unique and out of the box? Will you still be understood and supported?
